Pale straw with green hues, this wine has lifted Sauvignon Blanc flavours of grassy, grapefruit with good depth and intensity. It is a very fresh and vibrant wine. The palate is lighter than the Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and is more austere in style finishing with a clean crisp acid finish. The wine is zingy and vibrant but is slightly tempered by the 20% barrel ferment with also rounds out the palate and gives some complexity. This style of wine is ideal as an aperitif or with lighter foods such as oysters, scallops and freshly cooked crabs.
