72% Sauvignon Blanc, 28% Semillon
Pale straw in colour with hints of green, this wine has a lifted, full nose with freshness and depth. Aromas of vibrant cut grass with gooseberry and complexing French oak from the 50% barrel fermentation. The palate is vibrant and rounded with fresh fruit flavours of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The Semillon adds weight to the palate. The barrel ferment also adds some weight and complexity making this a good food wine. The fresh clean acid makes the wine complete. This is a great match with a chicken salad or pan fried fish with garlic and butter. Or it is simply fantastic on a sunny afternoon with friends!
